Black Owned Skincare Brands and my Routine

This post shares two black-owned skincare brands that create skincare for black skin in mind.

Every now and again I like to write lifestyle posts about the more everyday things that the freelance lifestyle allows you to explore. Today is one of those posts! You may have seen my skincare routine for dry skin a few months ago. But now I am actively trying to find black-owned alternatives to products, so have now switched to these brands for my skincare routine. MoneoPura is a black owned skincare brand by a black couple, based in the UK. I was instantly drawn in by the affordability of their items and the natural ingredients they use. Skincare is often priced at a premium, so this really drew me in closer. So, I bought a few of their items and have been adding to my collection ever since. Here’s a review of my experience using black owned skincare products.

Black Owned Face Serum

This nourishing facial oil is the first moisturising property I apply to my skin. It provides a base for everything else I put on and it doesn’t leave my face feeling greasy, but my skin absorbs it well as a prep.

Black Owned Natural Deodorant:

I may be a little late for this, but I recently discovered the antiperspirants literally stop you from sweating. This, naturally can’t be good for your body right? So when I came across this natural deodorant on Moneopura, I jumped at the opportunity to try it out! It harnesses a fresh fragrance and has worked practically well too.

Black Owned Face Cream:

The natural scent of this Tumeric intense face cream is wonderful. I apply it after the serum and together they leave my face feeling moisturised throughout the whole day. The face cream feels like I’m applying a thick smooth butter on my naturally dry skin.

Black Girl Sunscreen:

This sunscreen is a great solution for black people as it does not leave any white casting and is very moisturising too. The consistency is thick and easy to apply across all of your body.

I hope these black owned skincare products give you some ideas for your skincare routine.
