Prepping Chocolate Marble Cake Recipe
Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius fan oven. Seal the oven tin with salted butter.
Step 1
Get a large mixing bowl. Pour the self-raising flour (using a sieve to remove lumps) sugar into the mixing bowl and the eggs and the oil mix together.
Step 2
Add the baking powder, vanilla, and cinnamon to this mixture and whisk together. If needed to create a smoother consistency, add the milk, gradually until the right consistency and mix together
Step 3
Break the chocolate tablet into small pieces, put the coconut oil with this, and put them both in a bowl. Then melt the chocolate in the microwave for 2mins. Check at 1 minute to see how melted it is.
Step 4
Once the chocolate is melted, take a quarter of the cake mix and put it in a separate mixing bowl and then add the melted chocolate to that quarter and then mix until the whole mix is fully combined with the chocolate. Add milk to the chocolate mixture if necessary to create a smoother consistency.
Step 5
Now take the oven tin and begin layering up both the plain cake mixture and the chocolate cake mix. Begin with layering the bottom of the oven tin. Following this layer, add some of the chocolate mixtures, then the plain mixture, and repeat this process until both mixtures are evenly finished. On the last layer, add a pattern. This pattern could be created with a knife to easily guide.
Step 6
Put the cake into the oven between 45min- 60 minutes. Check every 15-20mins. To check if it is cooked, use a knife to put in the middle of the cake and draw it out. If any mixture appears on the knife, it is still uncooked. If the knife is clear when removed from the cake, the cake should be cooked through.
Step 7
Once the cake is baked, remove from the oven and leave on the side to cool down. Once at a reasonable temperature, serve and enjoy! You can pair this with some custard or eat alone.
I hope this chocolate marble cake recipe helps you as a beginner baker!
