On Friday 27th July the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony took place at the Stratford stadium. Although I’m not a big fan of the Olympics, I have to say that I was very impressed with the variety of entertaining segments, such as the Mr Bean scene, which gave the world a good taste of British humor, and the brilliant Industrial Revolution performance that educated the world about an important part of British history. This eventful night ended with the Olympic Cauldron being honorably lit by a group of young adults aged 16-19. This admirably illustrated the sense of hope and trust Britain holds in the next generation.

Nicely fitted in with the lighting of the Cauldron, was a creative display of fireworks to celebrate and welcome the Olympic participants.

For those of you who unfortunately missed the opening ceremony, here is the link to watch it!
