Recently, three friends and I went out for a day to Covent Garden. When we first arrived at this place of interest, we were greeted by the pleasant smell of food lingering from Tuttons Bar and Brasserie, along with all the other restaurants located on Russell Street. After inhaling this divine smell, we came across a number of street performances from human statues to stunt acts, all of which we were left in awe of.

When leaving the talented acts we stumbled upon a street artist drawing a lively picture of a heart with the words ‘All you need is love’ inside of it. The image was created on the pavement using colour pastels and charcoal.

After seeing these welcoming performances, we decided to take a look in some of the brand shops; two of which I was particularly impressed with. The first being Artbox. This shop is the perfect place to visit if you are a fan of anime. With its wide variety of products and polite staff, you are guaranteed to leave with a purchase. The other shop that caught my eye was Forbidden Planet. I may not be a huge comic fan, but I have to say that I was intrigued by its collection of comic character merchandise; such as facial masks, toys and books along with its enthusiastic staff.

Before leaving Covent Garden we took a look at the market. Although it was in a small area, there were a lot of rare and unique products on display. Similar to Camden town, its vintage style appearance stood out as an exclusive yet modest market.

Based on my experience at Covent Garden, I highly recommend visiting it to anyone! With it’s variety of engaging entertainment and trendy shops, you will surely be impressed!
