Do you have dry skin and looking for skincare routine steps? Dry skin and discoloration are two things I have had throughout my life. I’ve tried different things to help with this and recently through quarantine have discovered affordable skincare products that helps make my skin clear and moisturised. These are the skincare routine steps for dry skin that I take:
1. Cleanse Skincare Routine
This is the first step in my routine to cleanse my skin from any build-up from products. I cleanse daily but interchange between two different cleansers.
One day I’ll use my Shea Moisturise African Black Soap. This is a big block of soap that lasts a while, especially when just using for your face alone.
I have a few dark spots and this really helps to clear them up as well as any other spots I have.
However, although this is an effective cleanser, I find it a bit harsh to use daily.
So every other day, I’ll use my Boots Vitamin C Brightening Cleansing Gel. This is a lighter cleanser that moisturises and cleanses the face.
2. Serum For Skincare Routine
To add moisture after cleansing your skin, I use The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum and it only requires a few drops on your skin to lavish across. A little bit goes a long way to hydrate your skin.
3. Eye Cream Skincare Routine
I then apply Boots Vitamin C Brightening Gel to help treat my eye bags and dark circles. It helps to give a little boost of colour to my under eyes.
4. Moisturise
As the last step in my skincare routine, I use Boots Vitamin C Brightening Moisturizing Cream. This really helps seal in all the skincare products applied for this as well as acts as a final moisturiser. I’ve found it to be the ultimate product for boosting the skin tone colour out of all of these products.
5. Exfoliating
I exfoliate once a week at the most. Exfoliating helps to get to the deeper layers of your skin and remove dead skin cells.
Therefore, exfoliating too often could cause damage to the more delicate layers of your skin. I’ve used Superdrug’s Tea Tree Exfoliating Scrub. The tea tree properties leave your skin feeling refreshed.
I exfoliate once a week at the most. Exfoliating helps to get to the deeper layers of your skin and remove dead skin cells.
This affordable exfoliator brush from Olay has a removable brush-head and operates in circles to help rub in the exfoliating gel into your skin.
When exfoliating, I skip the cleansing step in my routine.
By using these skincare products I have seen a transformative colour boost to my skin and moisture that lasts throughout the day.
